Can you use normal photoshop documents that are not 3 dimensional images to make random dot stereograms? (and) Will they recreate the image with depth when viewed from the specified coordinates put into the program (viewing distance, pixel depth etc.) Also what does oversampling mean? _________________ Daniel |

yes, you can. just use a grayscale image, the darker the gray the deeper it appears (black being deepest), the lighter the gray the shallower it appears (white being shallowest).
i used Photoshop to create the following sample depth maps in the sample disk image:

Layers1024x768.png
Text1024x768.png
